About Me
Hello, my name is Emma and I am a Play and Creative Arts Therapist covering Chichester, Bognor Regis and surrounding areas in West Sussex and Hampshire.
I work with families and in schools to support children and young people with a multitude of different needs and experiences including those who are suffering from anxiety, depression, low self esteem or those who have experienced trauma, bereavement or other life challenges.
I have vast experience in working with
neurodiverse children (E.G. those with ADHD, Autism, EBD and PMLD) and can tailor approaches and sessions to suit their individual needs.

What is Play Therapy?
Play Therapy helps children and young people to express themselves in their own way using a variety of different methods. This is especially helpful for those who don't fully understand how they are feeling or finding it hard to put their experiences into words.
Play Therapy provides the expertise and time to help children navigate their feelings through play using a variety of methods known as the Play Therapy Toolkit.
This can consist of:
Arts and Crafts
Sandtray
Small world play
Puppets
Masks
Clay/playdoh
Movement and music
Guided visualisation
Relaxation techniques
Sessions are flexible depending on your child's needs. Generally, they are 45-50 minutes long and on average go on once a week for around 12-20
sessions.
All sessions are tailored to your child but I am also trained in Autplay and can also offer a specialised programme for children with SEND.
